DALLAS, 11 October 2012 – The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) announces the recipients of its annual Art of the Show competition. Of this year's 199 submissions, 42 entries will be honored for their combination of several essential marketing elements needed to promote exhibitions and events. This year's competition garnered submissions from the United States, Canada and England. The winning entries will be on display at Expo! Expo! IAEE's Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 4-6 December 2012 in Orlando, Fla.
Each year, IAEE presents a Best of Show award which is selected from the individual category winners of the Art of the Show competition. An independent, credentialed panel of judges selects the Best of Show winner.
This year's Best of Show winners result from a tie in the Most Innovative Use of Technology category: Freeman for Navistar for its Navistar Dealer Meeting/Mid-America Trucking Show 2012 and UBM Electronics for DESIGN West.
The Art of the Show competition recognizes excellence in promotional materials for the exhibitions and events industry. It includes 15 different categories of competition, spanning three show sizes.
