IAEE Launches Its First Collective Highlighting the New Women’s Leadership Forum
CEM Certification and Learning Program, Marketing Academy and Sales Academy Offered
DALLAS, 12 February 2013 – Today, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) announced it will launch its first IAEE Collective 29-30 May 2013 in Washington, D.C. The IAEE Collective is a collection of intensive learning experiences for professional development. Four, face-to-face opportunities are tailored to meet specific needs: the CEM Learning Program is devoted to certification; the Marketing Academy concentrates on increasing event attendance; the Sales Academy focuses on selling to exhibitors; and introducing IAEE newest offering, the Women’s Leadership Forum, which centers around women’s issues in the exhibitions and events industry.

NEW! Women’s Leadership Forum
IAEE introduces its Women’s Leadership Forum, the event that targets female professionals in the exhibitions and events industry with a day-long workshop focused on topics ranging from career development, communication, negotiation and balancing your work and life as a female, wife and mother. Attendees will hear from industry leaders and network with their peers to learn and share best practices. The Exhibition Services and Contractors Association (ESCA), the International Association of Venue Managers, Inc. (IAVM) and the IAEE Washington D.C. Chapter are supporting organizations for the Women’s Leadership Forum.
“IAVM recognizes the need to provide more leadership development and networking opportunities for the women in the venue management industry and we welcomed the invitation from IAEE to participate in this program. The program is strong, and I’m confident that anyone attends will be enriched by the experience,” said IAVM President and CEO Vicki Hawarden.

As part of the Leadership Faculty for the Women’s Leadership Forum, Hattie Hill is chief executive officer for Hattie Hill Enterprises, Inc. has over more than 30 years’ experience as a businesswoman, professional speaker and international management consultant. Her expertise in Global Leadership, Customer Service, Diversity and Inclusion has been shared with audiences throughout North America and 51 countries around the world.

A two day boot camp, the IAEE Sales Academy addresses all three areas necessary for success--attitude, behavior and technique. The boot camp—partly motivational, partly instructional – provides attendees with the concept, knowledge and understanding of the topic as it applies to their selling environment. Through appropriate exercises, attendees will refine their sales-development plan, practice strategies and techniques in a safe environment, and develop skills, before interacting with prospects and customers.
