IAEE Public Events Council Names Metter 2012 Chair

DALLAS, 20 January 2012   ̶   The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) recognized  Paul Schweitzer, vice president Business Development, Marketplace Events, at its 6 December 2011 meeting held during Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas for four years of service (2008-2011) as chair of the public events council. During his tenure, Schweitzer led the council in bringing many new IAEE resources to the public event organizer.

Education programming was added as a main element of IAEE’s Mid-Year Meeting, an annual Public Events Industry Survey and Report was established, and a Top Public Event recognition program was launched in June 2011. Seven events garnered recognition as top events and were honored during Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas.  Schweitzer has agreed to continue to serve as a member of the public events council.
