FLOOR MANAGERS SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (SIG)

The primary objective of this new group is to create and enhance awareness of the professional floor manager. Floor Managers, for the purpose of this SIG, are defined as: A person hired on a contract basis by show management to work on the show floor as a representative of show management and to ensure that exhibitors abide by the rules and regulations. Floor Managers are also responsible for helping exhibitors solve problems and maintain exhibitor satisfaction.

The benefits of joining the Floor Managers SIG are extensive. Here are just a few reasons you will want to belong:

• Members are listed in their own directory, posted in the Career Center of IAEE's web site.
• Only those members of the SIG are listed in IAEE's Membership Directory and Resource Guide under a separate heading titled Floor Manager.
• You can network with fellow Floor Managers at major IAEE meetings - a time and place will be set aside for SIG members.
• Members of the SIG can, if sufficient need exists, organize special events unassociated with major IAEE meetings (with Board approval for self-supporting events, or underwritten by IAEE with Board approval)
• Floor Manager information will arrive through a variety of media (e.g., newsletters, marketing literature, Internet-based forums, etc.)

The Floor Managers SIG is your primary resource for networking with your business colleagues. It will be what you make it.
