What to Expect with an On-Location CEM Course

CEM on-location courses are an ideal way to enhance the learning experience.  On-location courses are activity based learning environments where students can engage and learn from their peers as well as the instructor. Students interact with one another through the activities in order to acquire a greater understanding of the module.

Because students are required to read the module in advance of the course, the students are provided the module (electronically or hard copy) prior to class. Since the instructors do not cover the modules page-by-page during the on-location courses, students are expected to read the module prior to the start of class. Students are encouraged to bring the module to class as a study tool.

On-location courses begin at 8:30am and end at 3:30pm for those not staying to take the optional exam. Students who plan to take the exam following the course at 4:00pm must bring a laptop with wireless capabilities and a battery life of at least an hour. Those that choose not to take the exam immediately after class will have 90 days from the course date in which to take it. CEM On-Location Course Policies

• Participants who register at least three weeks in advance will have the option of receiving a hard copy of the module by mail or an electronic copy. Those who register less than three weeks in advance will only receive an electronic copy. Students are required to read the module prior to the start of class.
• Any student who arrives more than 60 minutes late at the start of the day or after lunch as well as leaving more than 30 minutes for lunch or at the end of the day will result in an absence and NO CREDIT GIVEN for the course as well as NO REFUNDS.
• CEM instructors for on-location courses plan a comprehensive CEM learning experience. Students are reminded to bring their printed or electronic course module with them to class to ensure an enjoyable and successful CEM learning experience. There will not be extra printed copies available on-site for those who do not have their course module with them.
• Because students are required to read the course modules prior to attending class and each student has a wealth of experiences, expertise and knowledge, the course instructors may not cover every page or concept in the course module or PowerPoint in detail. Instead, the CEM instructor may engage the students in a variety of collaborative learning experiences to reinforce their self-study of the module. These collaborative learning experiences may include small group discussions, class discussions, interactive lectures and more.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations, in whole or in part, must be made in writing, and may be subject to cancellation fees. For a full refund, written cancellations must be received no later than 30 business days prior to the event.  Within 29-11 business days, all approved refunds are subject to a $75 administrative fee.  Cancellations will not be accepted within 10 business days of the event and event fees will not be refunded after the event begins.
