Personal and Professional Values

Participants will explore the relationship that exists between their personal and professional values in order to bring them together in harmony.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Define personal and professional values
2) Align personal values with professional values
3) Deal with opposing values
4) Determine what to do when asked to compromise values

Personal Leadership, Work Styles and How to Leverage Strengths and Weaknesses

Participants will delve deeper into self exploration to understand their personal approach to leadership. Participants will also develop an understanding of different styles and how to work with differing styles and become more effective leaders.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Understand the DISC Analysis
2) Examine personal DISC assessment results
3) Evaluate and discuss class DISC assessment results
4) Recognize and work with other personality types
5) Manage personal strengths and weaknesses

Team Building

Participants will learn how to create effective teams.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Identify and understand the four stages of teambuilding
2) Recognize the barriers to teambuilding
3) Apply interventions to facilitate teambuilding

Communication Skills

Participants will understand how to communicate effectively to create more productive conversations and reduce misunderstandings.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Understand the communication cycle
2) Compare styles of communication
3) Recognize barriers to effective communication
4)  Understand cultural difference, low context cultures and high context cultures

Conflict Resolution

Participants will learn how to address and manage conflicts in the workplace using conflict resolution skills.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Assess the situation
2) Apply strategies to navigate the conflict
3) Communicate through the conflict
4) Determine the next steps immediately following a conflict

Strategic Thinking

Participants will understand how to develop strategies that enhance the impact of leadership plans.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Assess the issue
2) Develop a strategic plan


 Leadership Evaluation and Evolution

Participants will develop a self evaluation process that leads to personal leadership growth.

By the end of this lesson learner will be able to:
1) Determine what is working
2) Determine what is not working
3) Understand that leading is about the people, not the tactical
