Last fall CEIR published their landmark survey on digital medial and marketing and the exhibition industry. The report made clear to me that our event was behind the demand for digital sponsorship opportunities from our customers. Steps we are taking to address this for our 2011 event include: Developing a menu of digital sponsorship and promotional opportunities that offers as much inventory and revenue potential as our traditional sponsorships focusing on on-site branding and print....

IAEE Board Member Tony Lee just returned from his events for the Craft and Hobby Association and reports that they had a good trade show and the quality of buyers was good. “We launched our first winter consumer show and had over 8,000 consumers over two days. This reflects the trend on four other major shows that I know about. Less space, attendance up, generally good buying. We were up on buyers 4% and down slightly, 5%, on the number of exhibiting companies. We had over...

Strong 2010 Start!

2010 is off to a great start! AACN's annual conference, held each May, offers education, networking and exposure to new products used by critical care nurses. However, the current economic climate is challenging for hospitals and nurses, so we're looking at our 2010 event in Washington, DC as a way to "plant seeds" for future success. We're devoting significant time and effort to attracting a regional audience (from about a 300 mile radius around DC) and encouraging nurses to attend NTI 2010 for 1-2 days, if not...
