The program is a year-round immersion plan that kicks off with the two-day boot camp and is supported thereafter with a monthly webinar to reinforce and enrich learning. USA Today ran a feature this week on the difficulties foreign exhibitors and buyers are having securing U.S. visas. We worked behind the scenes with the reporter Roger Yu and shared with him some preliminary data that will be included in the soon-to-be released CEIR Research on the subject. IAEE Professional Women’s Forum - for IAEE women member representatives, the forum would include two face-to-face meetings each year and an online discussion group. The purpose of the Forum: address issues that are highly relevant to women but that are still commonly not discussed. The forum would provide a self-directed opportunity for members to define issues, bring in experts, including peers and establish a new and highly defined network. One attendee said it would be valuable to spend a day walking someone else’s event as part of a group experience. Limited to, say 12, we would not ask anything of the host event except to provide a comp badge and space for a meeting and lunch. A morning and afternoon debriefing would be scheduled where observations, notes, and ideas are exchanged and compiled. The host show organizer receives all compiled notes. A near capacity (30 is max) group of 28 assembled this week in San Antonio. It was the largest FLI class ever and arguably the most enthusiastic! They were joined by 15 graduates of the program including current IAEE Chairman Chris Meyer.
