IAEE ANNOUNCES 2009 ART OF THE SHOW COMPETITION RESULTS

Competition Honors Excellence in Exhibition Promotional Materials

DALLAS, 30 September 2009 - The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) announces the recipients of its annual Art of the Show Competition. Out of the 166 submissions, 32 entries were selected as first-place winners and 30 were awarded honorable mention recognition for their combination of several essential marketing elements needed to promote an exhibition. The winning entries and awards will be on display at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 8-10 December 2009 in Atlanta, Ga. This year’s competition received entries from around the globe.

Each year, IAEE presents a Best of Show Award, which is selected from the individual category winners of the Art of the Show competition. An independent, credentialed panel of judges selects the Best of Show winner, sponsored by the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Orange County Convention Center.

This year’s Best of Show Award is a tie between Exhibit Management Associates, Inc.  for its Mid-America Trucking Show entry in the Brand Design/Development, Over 150,000 nsf category and Attendance Marketing for its CEFPI entry in the Most Innovative Use of Technology category. For the first time in IAEE’s Art of the Show history two entries were given perfect scores, therefore both entries will be recognized at Expo! Expo! as the best promotional materials for 2009.

The Art of the Show Competition recognizes excellence in promotional materials for the exhibitions and events industry. It includes 13 different categories of competition, spanning three show sizes.

"The exceptional entries we receive for our annual Art of the Show Competition is a testament to the fortitude of the exhibitions and events industry," says IAEE President Steven Hacker, CAE. “It is a great opportunity to see the results of the most creative minds in our industry, and to peek into the future of promotional communications for exhibition and events.”
