IAEE’s Women’s Leadership Forum in Los Angeles was a success! Held February 26 in Los Angeles, with 40 women, the program focused on topics that are unique to women in the exhibitions and events industry and was tailored for all women regardless of age, individual situation or current position held within their company.

Jennifer Mueller, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
University of San Diego

Earning her PhD in Social and Developmental Psychology at Brandeis University, Jennifer has been on the faculty of many top business schools including the Wharton School, Yale School of Management and NYU’s Stern School of Business. One of her papers, upon which her new book is based, “The Bias Against Creativity,” went viral and was downloaded over 65,000 times, being described as a “famous study” in TheAtlantic.

Mueller’s work has been featured in many major media outlets including WSJ, NPR, CNN, HBR, The AtlanticFortuneForbes and Fast Company. Mueller, a native Californian, is currently an associate professor at the University of San Diego. Her recent book, Creative Change: Why We Resist it…How to Embrace it…provides a roadmap to help people change the way they (and others) think.

Sarita Maybin
International Speaker & Communications Expert

Sarita Maybin is an international speaker and communication expert who teaches audiences to stay positive, constructively confront tough communication situations and work together better. Sarita’s clients include Hewlett Packard, Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles County, Department of Navy and the Las Vegas Convention Center among others. Spanning over a 25+ years, Sarita has spoken at conferences, companies and campuses in ALL 50 states, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Jamaica, Canada, England, Asia, and Iceland.

Sarita is a former university Dean of Students with a Master’s degree in Counseling, a Toastmasters Humorous Speech Contest winner and a Past President of the National Speakers Association, San Diego chapter. She has been interviewed by the media about her book entitled “If You Can’t Say Something Nice, What DO You Say?
