We are all in this together! IAEE is here to help. We have compiled information on the most frequently asked questions since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
IAEE has teamed with ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, to help exhibitions and events professionals safely and effectively return to the face-to-face business environment amid the challenges presented by COVID-19, as well as other infectious diseases, through a training course designed to prepare for, respond to and recover from biohazards in the workplace.
Individuals who successfully complete the course within 30 days will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of ISSA, and can use the term “GBAC-Trained Technician” to distinguish themselves in their marketing and communication materials. This certification brings increased value to recipients’ employers and customers because it demonstrates the recipient’s competence to carry out their responsibilities and his/her commitment to the standards of excellence and continuous learning.
The GBAC Fundamentals Online Course is offered in English, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese and Polish. Through the IAEE Referral Program, the cost for both IAEE members and non-members is $150.
Collaborated with many prominent industry organizations, the highly anticipated white paper provides enhanced information for consideration by exhibition organizers when planning for and producing an exhibition during a pandemic.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we understand that finding a proctor for your CEM exam(s) may not be possible right now. I will be doing several group exam sessions through Zoom. If you would like to take your exam(s) in the next few weeks (and have completed all of the requirements of your course), please contact Jennifer Potter via email or call 940-435-5009 for more information.
Take a look at our CEM calendar – all online courses through the end of the year are available.
IAEE has conducted numerous COVID19 related webinars since the pandemic hit in early 2020. Topics include mental health and wellness, legal concerns, event insurance conversations and next steps, and town hall discussions with industry leaders.
Visit IAEE’s learning management system, Elevate, to gain access to these recordings.
IAEE members will need their individual login information to download. For non-members, simply create an account and COVID19 related webinars will be available upon creation.
