Developing Your Emotional Intelligence to Stand Out in a Crowd
July 19, 2018
Knowing what to do and how to communicate with others in social settings is a skill we all need to master as we go through life. Business experts agree that people with high emotional intelligence tend to perform consistently at a higher level than others. They’re more resilient and flexible when things get tough, and they’re held in the highest regard by their bosses, peers, co-workers and others. Some of us seem to be a lot better at this, which perhaps has to do with our upbringing or specific life experience in discovering the value of emotional intelligence. Fortunately, knowing how to efficiently navigate the social scene is a learnable skill and we can all become better at it by practicing and reflecting on our behavior.
Join Jennifer McCloskey as we explore topics that fall under two main areas; social awareness and social facility. Discover what emotional intelligence is and how you can gain the ability to stand out from the crowd!
