This includes the process of choosing both a geographical location and a facility for an exhibition or event. Site selection consists of advanced detailed planning\, including access for attendees of all populations\, organizational goals and objectives\, exhibitor/attendee needs\, and transportation. Careful consideration should be given to all factors that could impact the success of the overall exhibition. \nAfter completing this course\, the participant should be able to: \n\nEvaluate and select a geographical location and a facility that meets the goals of the stakeholder\, as well as the exhibition and/or event\nDifferentiate between the types of facilities that host exhibitions and/or events\nDiscuss the similarities and differences between U.S. and non-U.S. facilities\nArticulate the value and economic impact of the exhibition on the host city\nIdentify potential revenue streams for facilities to aid in negotiations\nDiscuss and apply the key components of conducting a site visit\nGain an understanding of the essential elements required in a request for proposal (RFP)\nDiscuss the importance of both strategic and operational aspects of site selection\nIdentify members of the site-selection committee\n\nThis course is at the Freeman office in Alexandria\, VA and will be held from 9:00am – 3:30pm. Volunteers will not cook the meals but may be asked to complete the following tasks. \n\nServing Meals into trays\nSealing meal trays\nPacking meal trays into boxes\nPreparing meal boxes on an assembly line\nCleaning up and prepping for future volunteers\n\n“Second Harvest Food Bank relied on 28\,289 volunteers last year whose hours totaled 95\,133. It’s pretty incredible to see so many caring individuals pass through our warehouse throughout the year.
