PMMI to be Honored at IMEX Frankfurt
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) congratulates PMMI as this year’s recipient of the IAEE International Excellence Award. The IAEE International Excellence Award recognizes an individual or organization that has made exceptional strides in creating, launching and managing an event in the exhibitions and events industry on an international scale.
PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, represents more than 800 North American manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, components and materials as well as providers of related equipment and services to the packaging and processing industry.
EXPO PACK Guadalajara, produced by PMMI, has matured from a regional show in Western Mexico to a truly international event that welcomed nearly 16,000 attendees in 2017. PMMI’s EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2017 broke records for attendance, exhibitors and exhibit space in comparison to its 2015 edition. International attendees from Guatemala, Cuba, Costa Rica, Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru visited 757 booths spread across 140,000 net square feet of exhibit space. International pavilions included Brazil, Canada, China, France, Italy, Spain and the United States.
“Last year’s event confirmed our belief that like EXPO PACK México in the even years, EXPO PACK Guadalajara was primed to take the mantle of the leading packaging and processing event in Latin America in the odd numbered years,” said PMMI CEO Jim Pittas. “It exceeded our expectations in attendance, exhibitors and total event floor space.”
PMMI will be presented the 2018 IAEE International Excellence Award at IMEX Frankfurt on 15-17 May 2018 during the IMEX Gala Dinner & Awards. IAEE’s presence at IMEX Frankfurt will also include in-booth education sessions and the Faculty Engagement Program, a unique opportunity for academic leaders to share best practices and offer encouragement in an open forum, presented through a partnership with IMEX along with hosting student booth appointments. Off the show floor, IAEE will present future trends in the global exhibitions and events industry.
