DEFINING CONSUMER SHOWS/PUBLIC EVENTS
A public event or consumer show is an event that serves specific industries or interests, is held for a particular duration of time, is open to the general public and usually requires an entrance fee. The live event community is broad and includes elements of spatial design, graphic design, video, audio, web, interactive and live talent to create a motivating and memorable experience.
• Be the industry resource on ADA/safety/security, digitalization of ticketing, sponsorships, etc.
• Provide direction for issues and challenges B2C organizers face.
• Provide direction for growing a business.
• Provide learning and information sharing opportunities.
• Develop an experiential/festival-like component to the show floor. showcasing B2C vendors and a networking/gathering space.

The Consumer Events Council serves as an advocate for producers and vendors for consumer/live events
through awareness, engagement, education and recognition. The Council develops recommendations for the consideration of the IAEE Board of Directors and is permitted to adopt policy statements that address industry issues of particular interest to the producers and vendors of consumer/live events. Such policies may be adopted without the prior approval of the IAEE Board of Directors so long as they conform to the provisions of Article IX of the IAEE Bylaws.

▪️️️️️️️️ Identify and assist in the recruitment of new members who are producers and vendors for consumer/
live events.
▪️️️️️️️️ Identify initiatives to facilitate engagement with the consumer events community.
▪️️️️️️️️ Engage in strategic planning and advance recommended strategies to the IAEE Board of Directors.
