Expo Logic is a global event technology and service company specializing in online and on-site registration, face recognition check-in, lead retrieval, and attendee-tracking solutions. Its TrackPod app allows event organizers to measure session popularity, analyze attendee behavior, control session access, and provide additional security.
TrackPod delivers multiple benefits to event organizers, including the ability to identify peak attendance times in intervals of 15 minutes or more, control access to sessions with “access denied” notifications, and monitor how long attendees stay in a session. It identifies popular sessions and measures the “turn-away” rate if the room is full or access is denied.
The app also offers the ability to analyze attendance behavior across various demographics, link session attendance to post-show survey responses, and prevent unregistered attendees from re-printing deactivated badges. When a deactivated badge is scanned, security is alerted to the location.
One Expo Logic client wanted to know where over 17,000 of its attendees spent most of their time. They also needed a way to restrict access to 15 sessions, with the largest session amassing over 9,800 attendees. Using 50 TrackPod scanners, Expo Logic tracked and managed access for thousands of attendees.
The data was later analyzed to provide actionable insights. Session popularity and attendance by registration type was particularly impressive. Other fields for possible analysis included country of residence, number of years attended, profession type, and marketing source. The journey of each attendee was revealed, and the event organizer was able to detect duplicate badges and unregistered attendees.
