Freeman, based in Dallas, TX, helps brands build powerful experiences. By incorporating many senses into the experiences they design for clients, they take audiences to interesting and surprising places, invent new realities, connect people in incredible ways.
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) holds an annual meeting that gathers 40,000 medical professionals. Attendee engagement is a primary focus for ASCO. They are always seeking ways to create opportunities to interact with the attendees.
The Sync by Freeman, a second screen solution, provides numerous ways for speakers to interact with their audience during sessions. ASCO Attendees used their own mobile devices to log into the web-based platform to view a presentation, take notes on each slide, respond to polls, and submit questions for the speaker. After the session, Sync automatically emailed the attendees the presentation with their individual notes included.
The poll questions provided valuable information to the speakers and ASCO on the attendees’ knowledge and opinions, which could be used to tailor the content in the current session and plan content for future events. The attendees loved the note-taking feature and gave glowing feedback to ASCO on Sync. Based on their positive experience, ASCO plans to continue to use Sync at their large annual event and smaller events throughout the year.
