How did you start your career in this industry?
I started in this industry by following in my older sister’s footsteps. Although she is no longer with me, she remains a part of my daily life -both personal and professional.
How has IAEE shaped your career?
IAEE has provided the base for all of my knowledge and ability to connect with so many others in the same profession. I’ve had the pleasure of making so many long-lasting professional relationships that continue to help me each day.
What advice would you give to a new member?
Always have an open mind. Allow your brain to be a sponge and take advantage of the ability to network.
Fun fact about you – What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I love gardening.
What would you say is the #1 IAEE member benefit?
IAEE provided me the opportunity to learn and earn the CEM designation. They also provide all the necessary components to maintain my designation. While I’ve been in the meetings industry for over 30 years, I’m always and still learning!
What do you like most about Expo! Expo!?
While I haven’t attended much in the past few years due to budgeting, I have attended many. The Expo! Expo! education and exhibit hall features are always top notch.
