How has the CEM designation helped in your career?
The CEM designation gave me more confidence in my role and helped me look at exhibitions in a structured and professional way. It also added great value to my profile and opened more opportunities for me in the events industry.
Why is it important to maintain the CEM designation?
Because this industry is always changing. Maintaining the CEM keeps me updated and ensures I’m always improving and learning new skills to deliver better results.
What made you want to obtain your CEM designation?
As an experienced specialist in event management, I wanted to challenge myself and gain an international certification that shows my commitment and passion for this field. It was important for me to have something recognized globally.
What advice would you give to an aspiring individual who wants to apply for the CEM program?
Don’t overthink it, just start. The program is very practical and you will learn a lot that you can use immediately in your work. Also, the network you gain is very valuable. I had so much fun; it wasn’t boring at all.
How did you start your career in this industry?
I started by working in symposiums and conferences. Step by step, I became more involved in exhibitions and found myself passionate about creating meaningful and successful events.
How have you made a difference with your show or with working with a client by applying the knowledge you gained by obtaining your CEM designation?
After CEM, I was able to apply better measurement tools and KPIs in our events. This helped us evaluate ROI and build stronger trust with clients because we had clear results to show.
What was it that you did or implemented right after obtaining your CEM?
I updated my professional communications to include my CEM and shared the knowledge I learned with my team. I wanted to make sure the benefit is not only for me, but also for my organization.
What did you like most about the CEM Learning Program?
I liked that it’s all practical and fun. The examples and case studies made it easy to connect the theory with my daily work.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
A fun fact is that I love travel vlogging. Most people don’t know that I enjoy filming and documenting my trips as a way to share experiences and inspire others.
