How has the CEM designation helped in your career?
I recently earned my CEM designation and look forward to what the future of my career will hold with the CEM designation.
Why is it important to maintain the CEM designation?
It is important to maintain the CEM designation because the designation adds value to our profession in the exhibitions and events industry.
What made you want to obtain your CEM designation?
My seniors inspired me to earn my CEM designation.
What advice would you give to an aspiring individual who wants to apply for the CEM program?
I would say to others who want to apply for the CEM program that the designation is useful in the exhibition industry career to pursue in the long run and it is globally recognized by the industry.
How did you start your career in this industry?
After completing my MBA in marketing, I joined HITEX Exhibition Center. HITEX helped me advance my career by providing various training programmes pertaining to the exhibition industry.
How have you made a difference with your show or with working with a client by applying the knowledge you gained by obtaining your CEM designation?
I have recently done the IPLEX show after my CEM graduation programme, in which my role was the hall manager for the show. I have coordinated with the housekeeping, security, ancillary and freight forwarders to make the show successful. The difference was looking after the aisles, carpeting, additional furniture, In & exit pass… etc.
What was it that you did or implemented right after obtaining your CEM?
I played a role of hall manager for the IPLEX show.
What did you like most about the CEM Learning Program?
It was a fun learning experience sharing with industry colleagues. The instructors were humble, able to solve our doubts and share their knowledge and experiences with the exhibition industry.
Fun fact about you – What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I love traveling. That’s the only ultimate goal I have – to travel and see the world.
