What advice would you give to an aspiring individual who wants to apply for the CEM program?

The CEM program has helped me to absorb valuable knowledge about show organizers, meeting planners, and the industry. In addition, during the courses, I have met many great people in the industry, and also gained a deeper understanding of the business.

How did you start your career in this industry?

I began working with GES in the freight department. Then left the industry for a while to pursue other interests. Then started back with PSAV about six years ago where I am currently a Sales Manager for exhibits and specialty events.

How have you made a difference with your show or with working with a client by applying the knowledge you gained by obtaining your CEM designation?

I have been able to offer clients different ways to think about how they can use technology in meeting room sets. I also help clients to understand show rules on an exhibit floor.

What was it that you did or implemented right after obtaining your CEM?

I implemented the CEM designation to my salutation.

What did you like most about the CEM Learning Program?

The class room structure of meeting new people in the industry, and being able to learn new ways of thinking about our industry.
