What made you want to obtain your CEM designation?
IAEE is a leader in the exhibitions and events industry. The CEM Learning Program is world-renowned in many countries. The reputation of the CEM program is positive and known by many people.
What advice would you give to an aspiring individual who wants to apply for the CEM program?
I would highly recommend everyone in the exhibitions industry to take the courses toward the CEM designation. You will learn a lot about the different facets of the industry.
How did you start your career in this industry?
I started working as an event staff member for the Charlotte Convention Center.
How have you made a difference with your show or with working with a client by applying the knowledge you gained by obtaining your CEM designation?
By having the designation, it shows that I have taken the extra time to work towards my goals in the exhibitions industry.
What was it that you did or implemented right after obtaining your CEM?
The first thing was placing the designation on my business cards. I am getting ready for a major convention coming to the area next year. I want the client to know that I have experience in exhibition management.
What did you like most about the CEM Learning Program?
I liked how knowledgeable and thorough the CEM faculty members were and the feedback received from fellow industry peers.
Fun fact about you – What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I have traveled to Thailand twice and I am planning on going back in December.
