How has the CEM designation helped in your career?
I obtained my CEM in August and having the designation adds additional standing to my role with our trade show.
Why is it important to maintain the CEM designation?
So that you can stay up-to-date on current information related to the exhibition and events industry.
What made you want to obtain your CEM designation?
While I have been an IAEE member for a while, I am serving on the IAEE Southeastern board of directors and felt it was time to get my certification.
What advice would you give to an aspiring individual who wants to apply for the CEM program?
The program is very informative, and you can take the classes at your own speed and time.
How did you start your career in this industry?
I started my career as an exhibitor in a trade show.
How have you made a difference with your show or with working with a client by applying the knowledge you gained by obtaining your CEM designation?
I proposed a different concept for our product showcase program after discussing ideas with other soon-to-be CEM recipients in an online class.
What was it that you did or implemented right after obtaining your CEM?
I added CEM after my name in my signature block.
What did you like most about the CEM Learning Program?
I liked the flexibility of being able to take the classes either in person or online.
