How has the CEM designation helped in your career?
I just got my designation, but it will be a great designation for the future as we are the first company to achieve it in the Philippines.
Why is it important to maintain the CEM designation?
It is important to maintain the CEM designation because you will never be fully learned/trained. Being in the forefront of new ideas and innovations is essential.
What made you want to obtain your CEM designation?
We are working to raise awareness and understanding of the value of more qualified people in the exhibitions and events industry here in Manila!
What advice would you give to an aspiring individual who wants to apply for the CEM program?
Commit to it! Pick the nine courses with coherency – both to the course flow and relevancy to your role in your company. There are many courses that are more closely connected than others to your job.
How did you start your career in this industry?
I started a small event company in Malta in 2012 and I’ve been hooked since then!
How have you made a difference with your show or with working with a client by applying the knowledge you gained by obtaining your CEM designation?
Sadly, due to COVID-19, there has been a halt to events and shows. On the other hand, COVID gave me the extra time to be able to actually take the courses and get my CEM designation.
What was it that you did or implemented right after obtaining your CEM?
I got myself a glass of champagne!
What did you like most about the CEM Learning Program?
I think that the organization of IAEE, infrastructure, personal interaction made the courses easy to take as everything was smooth and seamless during my whole journey!
Fun fact about you – What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I’m a passionate dog trainer!
