Competition Honors Excellence in Exhibitions and Events Marketing Materials
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) announces the results of its annual Art of the Show Competition. The winners were selected for their creative use of several essential marketing elements needed to promote exhibitions and events. The winning entries will be recognized at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 3-5 December 2019 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
“The Art of the Show Competition recognizes the outstanding niche marketing work that comes into play when promoting exhibitions and events,” said IAEE President and CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA. “So much goes on behind the scenes to create a great show experience for attendees and these marketing activities are at the heart of that process. IAEE congratulates this year’s winners and looks forward to celebrating their achievement at Expo! Expo!”
The Art of the Show competition recognizes excellence in promotional materials for the exhibitions and events industry in 14 categories of competition, spanning three show sizes. The entries are judged by an independent panel of judges who specialize in marketing, communications and graphic design. Each entry received is scored on a points system based on the criteria for the category in which it entered. The judges’ scores are averaged, and the highest score wins for each category/show size.
Each year, IAEE presents a Best of Show award, which is the highest scoring entry across the entire competition. This year’s Best of Show winner is Informa Markets for its The International Surface Event: SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomac | TileExpo entry in the Social Media Campaign: Over 200,001 nsf category.
