The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) announced today it is now accepting applications for the Helen Brett™ Scholarship, which assists individuals who are exploring the study of exhibitions and business events management with the end goal of advancing their career in this field.
The Helen Brett™ Scholarship was established by Robert Kolinek, CEM, CMP and named for his grandmother, Helen Brett, who was a pioneer in the trade show industry. The scholarship serves to promote the exhibitions and business events industry by attracting college-level students into the field of study and encouraging their pursuit with financial support.
“As part of our continuing strategy to help the next generation of exhibitions and events professionals, IAEE is proud to offer the Helen Brett™ Scholarship to up-and-comers eager to dive into all our industry has to offer,” said IAEE President and CEO Marsha Flanagan, M.Ed., CEM. “For more than 25 years, this scholarship has aided students pursuing a career in the industry, and we have seen many of its recipients go on to build rewarding careers. It’s as exciting for us as it is for the applicants to see who this year’s recipients will be.”
Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis based on field of study, recommendations and educational achievement. Preference is given to those expressing an interest in exhibitions and events management and those enrolled in degree programs which are viewed as particularly relevant to this field.
