Events and Education, along with networking, are the major benefits of an IAEE membership. Throughout the year, several meetings and educational programs are offered both at the chapter and international levels.
IAEE is committed to every step of your career development in the exhibitions and events industry. From workforce ready assessments to professional designations we’ve got you covered.
We offer a career path regardless of where you are starting from when looking at a career in exhibitions and event management.
Built on a foundation of broad technical knowledge and demonstrated industry experience, the Certified in Exhibition Management® (CEM) professional designation program prepares you to meet the changes and challenges of a demanding industry with confidence and professionalism.
IAEE has teamed with ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, to help exhibitions and events professionals safely and effectively return to the face-to-face business environment amid the challenges presented by COVID-19, as well as other infectious diseases, through a training course designed to prepare for, respond to and recover from biohazards in the workplace. The GBAC Fundamentals Online Course teaches participants the principles behind infection and contamination control measures for infectious disease outbreak situations such as the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
Geared toward busy professionals who are looking for cost-effective educational opportunities with no downtime or travel expense, IAEE provides new and exciting webinars, led by highly respected industry experts, directly to your desk. IAEE Professional Development Webinars are brought to you by New Orleans & Company and the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Central to the MATSO Council culture is ensuring a wide-open exchange of ideas to foster discovering solutions, networking with other senior-level show professionals, guiding new strategies and policies, sharing ideas and making a difference. Each year a MATSO event will be selected to host IAEE-MATSO programming. In addition, programming will take place through webinars and at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition. A complete schedule of events will be updated as they are identified.
IAEE’s Women’s Leadership Forum has been designed to focus on topics that are unique to women in the exhibitions and events industry. It is tailored for all women regardless of age, individual situation or current position held within their company. The forum will provide knowledge and strategies for attendees to succeed in their current positions, as well as motivation and inspiration to take your career to the next level. The Forum will give you the tools and resources while balancing life along the way.
ECA Legislative Action Day, formerly Exhibitions Day, raises awareness of the business events industry among federal legislators and is an opportunity for direct engagement with members of Congress and their staff to help foster a greater understanding of our industry and the impact it has on their states and districts, as well as the impact of key policy issues.
Each year we partner with IMEX America and IMEX Frankfurt to provide educational and learning opportunities for both faculty and students including the Faculty Engagement program, faculty reception and scheduled appointments on the show floor for students. In addition, faculty will have the opportunity to submit a Best Practices paper that will be presented at both IMEX America and at Expo! Expo!
