Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: Silencing Your Limiting Beliefs at Work
Presenter: Catlin O’Shaughnessy Coffrin
There are always those moments – fighting your “inner critic”, when you doubt yourself, where you devalue your worth, feel like a “fake” or underestimate and undermine your expertise and capabilities. It’s called Imposter Syndrome.
Typically, we face imposter syndrome at major milestones in our career paths: new promotions, new roles, and new challenges. It’s scary, it’s normal but it’s also in these moments where we learn the most about ourselves and find the most meaning and satisfaction in our work. So how do we reconcile these two things and put imposter syndrome to the side so we can thrive and grow?
Drawing on over 15 years’ experience of coaching corporate executives to own their voice and grow their presence, Cat O’Shaughnessy Coffrin, will share anecdotes, learnings, and tips on how all of us – not just women – can recognize and manage our imposter syndrome when it appears and how we can move beyond the limitations we perceive.
