New Digital Events Management Module Now Available
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) is excited to announce a new module for its CEM Learning Program, Digital Events Management. This new module will be available for students currently enrolled in the program, as well as the more than 3,500 current CEMs from around the world. The module will include teaching materials for faculty, including case studies.
Industry research has shown that as the industry recovers, the demand for hybrid and digital events will continue, prompting the CEM Commission to approve the Digital Events Management program.
“Although the industry handled the crisis as gracefully as possible last year, it was still forced to move quickly. We learned a lot from that experience and the result is the digital events option that was not as widely used until now,” said CEM Commission Chairperson LeeAnn Norton, CEM, Chief Operating Office for Connexfm. “The CEM Commission agreed that now is the time to finetune that information so we can see how and where it fits into the bigger picture as we transition back to our face-to-face events.”
“It is an honor to sponsor the IAEE CEM Learning Program and the continued innovation in education,” added Carrie Freeman Parsons, Chair of Freeman, and official sponsor of IAEE’s CEM Learning Program. “The digital component will equip leaders to produce engaging omni-channel events for today, tomorrow, and far into the future.”
The Digital Events Management module infused valuable data from the Center for Exhibition Industry Research’s (CEIR) Global Virtual Event Trends Study Report One: Anatomy of Virtual Events and Financial Outcomes. This information will continue to evolve; therefore, the program will provide updated content and case study information as it becomes available.
This program is designed for the typical CEM candidate with 3-5 years of experience. After completing this course, the participant should be able to:
- Identify different types of Digital events
- Learn the basics of building a basic Digital event strategy
- Understand the three major components of a Digital Event and all they encompass
