Education Programming Committee
The Education Committee is responsible for working with the professional staff of IAEE in an advisory role to assist in the planning and evaluation of IAEE’s core education programming. Core education programming is defined as sessions that will be offered at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition.
Ideally, the Education Committee comprises approximately 12-18 members, which consists of a balance between show organizers and suppliers representing an international geographic body. Members will have experience in one or more of the following areas: associations, for profits, education and speaker management, and/or event marketing. The CEM Commission Chair will serve on the committee as well.
Charge to the Education Committee:
The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the IAEE professional staff and will assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of IAEE’s core education programming.
- Review and evaluate members’ educational needs (content and delivery) and recommend appropriate changes using annual surveys and evaluation results.
- Identify industry trends, which can be addressed through educational programming, through member outreach and
- Utilize data collected in participant surveys and trends identified by the committee to select content areas, develop content area definitions and identify learning objectives for IAEE’s Call for
- Review presentation proposal
- Participate in a virtual half-day or full day meeting in the spring/summer of 2025 to select education sessions and speakers for Expo! Expo! (including keynotes).
- Promote and recommend to speakers to submit proposals for consideration.
- Each member will be responsible for a personal awards submission for the IAEE awards category for Educator of the Year.
- Brainstorm on topics and speakers for yearly IAEE webinars.
