Women’s Leadership Committee

Background

Women value an IAEE-sponsored women’s initiative as they navigate their careers and personal lives. The Women’s Leadership Forum focuses attention on the unique needs of women in the exhibitions and events industry, helping them to find their voice and their personal brand while being deliberate about the different stages of their career.

Charge to the Committee

The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the IAEE professional staff assisting in the development of programming for the Women’s Leadership Forum. The 2026 committee will advise staff on the final stages of the 2026 program in addition to the 2027 signature event and any additional related initiative offerings or programs.

Scope and objectives

  • Register and attend the 2026 Women’s Leadership program.
  • Act as ambassadors and promote the program(s) to their colleagues and industry peers.
  • Assist with the facilitation of the Women’s Insights sessions and/or recommend topics for sessions.
  • Participate in recommendations and/or nominations for the IAEE Woman of Achievement award.
  • Review evaluation results from the previous year’s events for planning of future programs. 
  • Recommend programs and speakers for future WLF events and initiatives.
  • Examine measurable short- and long-term goals for the Women’s Leadership Forum. 
  • Make recommendations for enhancing engagement and to build an ongoing community of women in the industry.
    1. Participate in discussions on IAEE MemberLink and social media.
    2. Suggest topics and speakers for women-related webinars..
  • The Women’s Leadership Committee members are expected to engage with IAEE marketing channels including but not limited to, opening marketing emails from IAEE; and engaging on social media posts by liking, resharing and/or commenting.
