Executive Committee

Article VIII of the IAEE Bylaws creates an Executive Committee of the Board of Directors composed of the Chairperson, Chairperson-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors, and the Immediate Past Chairperson. The IAEE President and CEO is an ex-officio and non-voting member of the IAEE Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee may act for the Board of Directors between Board Meetings in all matters, “except those specifically reserved for the Board” by the Bylaws.

The role of the Executive Committee is to make key decisions and provide strategic direction, often handling urgent matters that require quick responses, while the board sets the overall long-term vision and policies ensuring alignment with its mission and objectives; essentially, the Executive Committee acts as a bridge between the board and the CEO, making day-to-day decisions on behalf of the board. Members are expected to engage with IAEE marketing channels including but not limited to, opening marketing emails from IAEE; and engaging on social media posts by liking, resharing and/or commenting.
