The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) announced today that it has joined the S.H.E. Lab™ Initiative (Supporting Her Evolution) as a Strategic Access Partner. This flagship program of Discovering Butterflies is dedicated to preparing emerging women leaders through career access, experiential learning and strategic industry connections.
In this role, IAEE will bring its industry perspective and expertise to the S.H.E. Lab™ Initiative, helping to shape what meaningful access looks like for the next generation of women leaders across the exhibitions and events ecosystem. IAEE will work alongside the program to identify opportunities and gaps within the industry’s talent pipeline in addition to helping build stronger career and networking pathways that expand connections.
The partnership extends Discovering Butterflies’ signature Access Pathway™, a six-stage framework designed to transform potential into professional opportunity:
- Assess
- Clarify
- Connect
- Experience
- Step Into Visibility
- Scale Access
Through this collaboration, IAEE will help connect emerging leaders with the relationships, exposure, and visibility needed to advance their careers within exhibitions and events.
“IAEE is proud to stand alongside Discovering Butterflies in providing real access and opportunity for emerging women leaders,” said IAEE President and CEO Marsha Flanagan, M.Ed., CEM. “This initiative speaks to the core of IAEE’s ongoing commitment to supporting women who have dedicated themselves to elevating our industry and we look forward to contributing to its mission.”
“Beyond qualified candidates, organizations need prepared, connected and experience-ready emerging leaders,” added Sherron Washington, Founder and CEO of Discovering Butterflies. “IAEE’s support allows us to bring true insight that reflects what the exhibitions and events industry actually needs. Together, we’re building stronger, more connected pathways for the next generation of women leaders.”
