Content Provides Valuable Takeaways for Success-Driven YPs
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) presented a full program comprised of content specifically designed for young professionals at its virtual Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition, which was held 8-10 December 2020. The Young Professionals (YP) Track, brought to you by GES, focused specifically on content to help develop leadership, management and business acumen skills relevant to critical thinking, sales and negotiation, resume and interview skills building, job advancement, and building connections and communities.
“IAEE’s YP community has proven itself to be intensely motivated to learn and succeed, so it was important to us to provide them with an Expo! Expo! experience that will serve them throughout the coming year,” said IAEE President & CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA. “Our YP Committee was instrumental in providing content to create a strong YP-focused program for Expo! Expo!.”

In addition to the YP Track at Expo! Expo!, IAEE Chairperson Robert (Bob) McLean, CPA, CAE, CEM, Executive Vice President of the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) took the opportunity to recognize and thank YP IAEE members for their dedication throughout the year.
“The YP community is exceptionally strong and engaged in every aspect of IAEE,” noted McLean. “They work hard throughout the year to maintain the utmost involvement on national and local levels, and we are incredibly proud of our YP representation.”
The Young Professional of the Year Award was also announced at Expo! Expo!. This award recognizes excellent professional performance by IAEE members 35 years of age or younger who have committed their time to advancing the standing of young professionals in our industry. This year’s award recipient is Molly Hamill, CMP, CEM, Manager, Exhibition Sales, International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA).
