Sessions Begin on 23 November in Hangzhou, China
Today the International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) in cooperation with the Hangzhou Expo group in Hangzhou, China, proudly announces to be the co-host of the second Global Digital Ecosystem Conference 2023-Digital Event taking place on 24 November 2023 as part of the Global Digital Trade Expo from 23-27 November at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. IAEE hosted the inaugural Global Digital Events Summit in 2022 in Hangzhou.
IAEE has demonstrated a strong and lasting commitment to the advancement of the global workforce with its involvement in the Chinese exhibitions industry through various initiatives, most notably through the association’s 20-year relationship with the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). CCPIT is the official provider of the IAEE CEM Learning Program in China along with the Certified International Events Professional (CIEP) which debuted in 2022. To date, more than 1,400 industry professionals have received the CEM designation, and 217 graduates have received the CIEP designation in China.
Additionally, IAEE has worked with Beijing Union University since 2019 with 96 students earning the IAEE/Beijing Union University Certificate in Beginning Exhibition Management.
“IAEE has been a longtime supporter of the exhibitions industry in China,” said IAEE Interim CEO Cathy Breden, CMP-F, CAE, CEM. “We are honored that the Chinese government and various cities much like Hangzhou have trusted us to bring the breadth and depth of IAEE knowledge to this region to support workforce development.”
IAEE was established as a Foreign Non-Governmental Organization (FNGO) in China in 2019 and has an office in Shanghai with staff in the country to strengthen relationships and provide IAEE members in China with resources needed.
The association is a frequent speaker at industry conferences in China including CEFCO and the Shanghai CEO Summit and most recently at the Xiamen International MICE Week this past Spring.
