Katie Nelson, Founder and CEO of Sales UpRising, is a three-time business owner who is committed to bringing the fun back into sales. She is on a mission to change the current statistic that 90% of businesses do not reach their sales goals. Katie is a speaker, consultant, and business coach with 25 years of sales experience and $150 million sold in products and services. Simply put, she knows how to bring her clients into the Big Leagues! Katie has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs to transform their companies from ideas into thriving, profit-making businesses. She has created workshops, Mastermind courses, one-on-one training days, and business retreats to empower business owners with her strategies that helped her develop multi-million-dollar firms. Katie believes every business action is a sales conversation, and she asserts sales are the spark to feed the fire of business growth.

Katie has a charismatic style that motivates, educates, and entertains; her clients walk away with actionable strategies and techniques that can be used immediately. She teaches them to be their own best spokespersons and encourages them with the knowledge that it can happen to them, too. Katie began her path in business ownership almost by accident. One day she was asked by a previous mentor to be a Partner in a Professional Services Firm – and the rest is history! Her strong business relationships and vast sales experience built one firm, and then two, and finally Sales UpRising was born. Her decades of expertise across numerous industries has allowed her to make her message, Cashflow Is Oxygen, versatile and applicable to all her clients. This message has also allowed her own businesses to reach sales of $7 million. Katie has spoken to a wide variety of groups all across the country, including the Tower Club in Tysons Corner and the Virginia Women’s Business Conference. She is also active in the Northern Virginia small business community and participates in many business associations like the National Association of Women Business Owners. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband of 18 years. When not coaching her clients in playing bigger, better games, she’s happiest spending time in nature and preserving natural habitats.
