SUMMARY:Create a “Quick Start Kit” to Share with Last-Minute Additions to Your Exhibitor List - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Learning Objectives: \n• What is a “quick start kit” and who can benefit from creating one? \n• Which components should be included in your “quick start kit”? \n• What (other) preparations can be completed\, during this workshop\, for your “quick start kit”? \nProgram Description: If you’re like many exhibition organizers\, you may be finding that exhibitors have begun confirming their participation in trade shows later and later. This presents a number of challenges for your exhibitors – as they’ll need to do all of the same work\, but in a much shorter time frame – as well as for you (for example\, you’ll have to repeat yourself a lot more than you would otherwise). Fortunately\, this intensive 3-hour workshop is designed to help you overcome those challenges\, for your exhibitors and for you. With the support of our favorite trade show trainer\, Robyn\, and your peers\, you’ll create a “quick start kit” to empower any last-minute additions to your exhibitor list so they can accomplish more and both of you can stress less. \nThis course is eligible for 3 clock hour(s) towards CEM recertification.

SUMMARY:Housing and Registration Management - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Today’s exhibition professional has more to do than simply manage an exhibition. In reality\, an exhibition professional is responsible for several crucial service-related elements. Two of the service fundamentals inherent in most events are arranging for accommodations for guests (“housing”) and identifying which guests will be allowed access to which portion of an event (“registration”). Planning must begin early to ensure housing and registration are easily assessed and do not become a hindrance to attending the event. When managed well\, housing and registration can enhance an event and create an incentive for future attendance. \nAfter completing this course\, the participant should be able to: \n\nIdentify key elements of planning and managing registration and housing\nDescribe differences between exhibitors and attendees in housing needs and booking habits\nDescribe differences in registration policies and processes for exhibitors and attendees\nEvaluate housing and registration event management options\nDevelop basic housing and registration planning timelines\nDemonstrate knowledge of financial and contractual commitments\nUnderstand how to manage housing and registration data (e.g.\, GDPR\, data privacy\, data protection\, data security)\n\nRegistration fees for on-location courses in the United States and all virtual courses are $299 USD members/$440 USD non-members (per course). \nThere will be an optional 30-minute study period followed by an hour for the exam.
