Regional Half Day Forums Added to Expand Program in 2019
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) has entered into a partnership agreement with VisitDallas for its Women’s Leadership Initiative, as well as its annual signature forum in Washington, D.C. VisitDallas will serve as the prominent partner in IAEE’s Women Leadership focused activities including the Women’s Leadership website, ConnectNow newsletter and other products and services provided to female IAEE members (with the exception of other sponsored events at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition or webinars).
VisitDallas will serve as the Diamond Partner for the annual Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF), the next event to be held 29-30 April 2019 at Lansdowne Resort and Spa, outside of Washington, D.C., in addition to three half day Women’s Leadership Regional Forums which will be presented in Los Angeles, Dallas and in the Midwest in 2019.
“The success of the Women’s Leadership Forum has been phenomenal since its inception in 2013,” said IAEE EVP & COO Cathy Breden, CMP, CAE. “The fact that the program sells out every year shows us that attendees count on IAEE to lead the charge in presenting relevant and thoughtful professional development designed for women – and we aim to deliver! This partnership with VisitDallas opens even more doors for attendees interested in making the most out of the WLF experience.”
“We’re honored to partner with IAEE on this important effort to present relevant content to women in the meetings and events space,” said VisitDallas President & CEO Phillip Jones. “Dallas is a city that abounds with strong women leaders in the exhibitions and events industry, and we look forward to powerful, thought-provoking forums in Dallas and across the country.”
“The IAEE Board of Directors is very excited about paving the way for women in our industry through these additional networking, thought leadership and education opportunities,” added IAEE Chairperson Daniel McKinnon, CEM. “We are fortunate to have a strong representation of women within our industry, and especially within IAEE.”
The Women’s Leadership Forum in April will include a reception the evening of 29 April followed by a full day of programming on 30 April. The regional forums will offer a half day of programming followed by a networking lunch. Although the regional forums will follow the format of the signature WLF, the programs will source from regional experts and speakers for a more robust offering of the annual forum.
